We continue tracking the changes at this year's Sausalito Art Festival as we edit daily the content at our complete Festival Guide.
Gone is the three day discounted pass. (Groan.)
New is the hand-stamp that lets you leave and re-enter, responding to a long-time gripe by locals. (Applause.)
Gone if the ability to bring in food and then just buy beverages. (Groan.)
New is free wi-fi. (Applause).
Maybe new is the option to bring strollers for young kids, although there seems to be some confusion on this topic.
We cover it all in the 2012 Sausalito Art Festival Online Guide, with bands and performance times, as well as lots of Insider Tips that are familiar to long-time residents but helpful to Festival visitors.
We have been visiting the festival for over 20 years and loved every minute. Great to see all that imagination in one place. But this year was a bummer--because of the long grass. MOW IT! Had to use an electric cart because of a breathing issue; it was nearly impossible on tall, slick grass. The walker people and kids stroller people were having a really bad tim too. Not an issue last year. Also, the average prices have gone way up, from hundreds to thousands; consider the buyers as well as the artists. G. Green
